AddressJoin Coal LSL in this newly created role as Regulatory Intelligence Specialist and take the lead in generating accurate and timely data-driven insights to inform regulatory prioritisation and decision-making. Reporting to the General Manager Regulatory Insight, you will play a critical role in growing Coal LSL’s Regulatory Intelligence function, focusing efforts on effective compliance outcomes.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Regulatory Intelligence approach to progress the organisation as being a leader in proactive, risk-based and intelligence-led regulation.
- Develop consistent methods for collection and storage of data to ensure reliable and quality insights for effective decision-making.
- Establish and build buy-in around 'why we do what we do' to reduce duplication and highlight Coal LSL’s success as a regulator.
- Provide high level expertise on complex and sensitive matters and identify opportunities and solutions to address emergent and contentious issues.
- Support and assist the General Manager with continuous improvement including identifying gaps and trends in employer compliance and data collection.
- Expertise in Regulatory Intelligence, insights gathering, report writing, and analytical thinking.
- Demonstrated skills in research, data analytics, dashboard development, and reporting.
- Sound judgement, high level analytical thinking, investigative and research skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Professional certifications in regulatory compliance or related areas.
- Experience in a similar role within the Government or regulatory body.
