The Role

As Senior Manager, Regulatory Relations, you will be responsible for managing Insignia Financial’s key Regulatory Relationships with APRA and ASIC.

 

Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Relations, you will respond to regulatory requests, proactively manage regulatory interactions, provide strategic insights, and management of regulatory matters to ensure an effective outcome. You will also be the strategic advisor to our business on regulatory matters.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively promote the Regulatory Engagement Framework across Insignia Financial and proactively look for opportunities to improve our regulatory engagements.
  • Manage regulatory commitments across the Group.
  • Responsible for helping to build a strong and highly regarded Regulatory Relations team.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the business response to Regulator requests (including Notices) with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Provide Board, Committee, and other reporting as required.
  • Develop key regulatory insights and themes.
  • Review and enhance the process for regulatory interactions across the organisation, including simplification and automation opportunities.
  • Help drive and maintain a strong and resilient culture of risk and compliance across the business.
  • Assist with regulatory reviews as required.
  • Partner with Line 2 and the businesses to support the development of risk awareness for regulatory responses.

 

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business/Commerce, Law, or other relevant subjects (mandatory).
  • Postgraduate studies in Risk, Compliance and/or Finance (well regarded).
  • Strong understanding of the Wealth Management regulatory landscape and in particular the prudential obligations and laws applicable to the superannuation industry.
  • Strong ability to analyse and interpret complex regulations and propose improvements to processes as a result of legislative changes.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing Regulatory Relationships in complex financial services organisations.
  • Ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders under pressure.
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Strong writing abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience in working in complex businesses undergoing significant transformation.
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in building trusted relationships with r

  • Ability to impart knowledge and experience through coaching.
  • Ability to drive behavioural and mindset changes with key stakeholders.
