Are you committed to attention to detail, appreciate compliance, and have a great attitude when it comes to pitching in and doing whatever is required to achieve organisational outcomes?
The ACT Law Society works tirelessly to represent, advance and defend the independent legal profession for the ACT. A large part of the support they provide is in the regulation of the profession through the investment in making licensing practices more accessible, effective, and efficient; taking a continuous improvement approach to our complaints, discipline, and reporting processes; and providing clear guidance that promotes high ethical and practice management standards. This critical function is supported by the Regulatory Team - and now they need you!
As the Regulatory Support Officer, you will report to the Regulatory Manager and help support all team operations through the provision of broad administrative tasks that include, but are not limited to:
- Managing enquiries for triage and allocation
- Record keeping and reporting
- Secretariat support to Committees
- Administrative support in the administering of Certificates of Fitness and Practicing Certificates
- Member engagement administrative support
So, what experience do you need?
Previous administrative experience is a must - but how long, what and when is less important.
What we are looking for is someone who demonstrates they are highly organised, has a keen eye for detail (yes this includes no errors in your CV or cover letter), can juggle multiple tasks and is a quick learner with a positive attitude. You are also someone who is keen to gain exposure to report writing and further develop your professional writing skillset.
Personally, you are resilient and mature-minded, happy to engage with your membership base as required and confident enough to run with things if needed.
What's on offer?
- A supportive and collaborative team environment that believes in investing in people and supporting their career
- One 'Wellness Day' every 6 months to do what you need to keep you centred and balanced
- Paid leave over Christmas (in addition to the NES leave provisions)

This is a great opportunity - we have been working with these guys for years and can speak highly about their team environment. If you think this could be the job for you then please do apply today with your CV and a brief cover letter telling us a little about yourself.
