Manning Mental Health Service
An exciting opportunity as Rehabilitation Coordinator is available within the Manning Mental Health Service. The position has a focus on the provision of leadership, consultancy and direct service provision to consumers within the sector in regard to clinical rehabilitation. In this role you will work with a recovery orientation, with a focus on functional gain for consumers. You will be responsible for:
• Providing and coordinating quality rehabilitation services and promotion of a rehabilitation/recovery orientation throughout Tablelands Mental Health Service
• Coordinating a 7 bed community based residential rehabilitation program
• Providing high level clinical rehabilitation interventions to improve outcomes for individuals
• Providing consultancy to the mental health service and community partners to facilitate and promote optimal rehabilitation outcomes for consumers.
• Establishing, facilitating and maintaining partnership arrangements with a range of relevant government and nongovernment agencies to ensure collaborative working between services, in consultation with HNEMH Community Partnerships Manager.
You will be supported by a district wide model of care and Rehabilitation Stream, together with your local management team and Head of Discipline, Occupational Therapy. You will also work together with Rehabilitation Clinicians.
Your success in this role will incorporate your clinical skills and experience and knowledge of mental health rehabilitation, strong communication skills for engaging with consumers and families/carers, your colleagues and external partners, as well as an understanding of culturally appropriate service provision. You have an ability to identify and consider the impact of the experience of mental illness to enable people to live meaningful lives and to achieve their fullest potential.
