CBH Resources is a privately owned company of the TOHO Zinc Company of Japan. Rasp Mine, a subsidiary of CBH Resources is located centrally in the historic city of Broken Hill.
Reporting to the Mechanical Superintendent and working collaboratively with Mechanical Supervisors and Planners to maintain and further develop a culture of excellence and best practise within the mobile maintenance department and improve the maintenance and reliability of mobile plant. The Reliability Specialist will be involved in a range of activities, including:
- Administering mobile plant condition monitoring activities.
- Facilitate and support continuous improvement of asset maintenance strategies.
- Provide defect elimination process support and guidance to operational teams.
- Conducting component failure investigations (Root Cause Analyses).
- Overseeing reliability improvement projects.
- Preparing and issuing equipment performance reports.
- Reviewing and improving preventative maintenance strategies.
- Training and mentoring trades staff.
- Developing equipment standards and work procedures.
- Liaising with OEMs and other suppliers.
To be successful you must have:
- Relevant trade and / or engineering qualification.
- Extensive experience in mobile/heavy plant maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Highly developed technical trade skills.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian standards and Codes of Practice.
- High level Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems skills.
- Desire to support continuous improvement.
- A collaborative approach to problem solving, mentoring and providing support.
- A positive and proactive attitude towards safety management, both individually and in a team environment and to work collaboratively with the maintenance team to positively influence the safety culture of the team.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Pronto or similar.
- Well-developed decision making, organisational, time management, communication and negotiation skills.
This is a residential position on a 5/2 Monday to Friday roster x 10 hour shifts with an RDO each calendar month. An attractive salary package will be offered including relocation assistance, subsidised housing, subsidised gym membership and salary packaging opportunities.
