Reliability Specialist

Location - Willowburn (Toowoomba)REM - Attractive Salary PackageAbout the role:Aurizon's Willowburn depot is recruiting for a Reliability Specialist. A technical expert, with a keen interest in problem solving and fault finding Rollingstock. The main purpose of this role will be to optimise the safety, reliability, availability, and cost effectiveness of Aurizon's Rollingstock.Responsibilities

• Undertake Root Cause Analysis Investigations for failures and make recommendations for system improvements.
• Work with relevant teams to ensure all asset classes and components maintain 100% compliance with the safety management system (SMS) and approved system of maintenance at all times.
• Provide frontline component fault finding and technical advice to leadership and trade staff.
• Using Aurizon supported tools (SAP and Ironman) to undertake front line (area) top five fault finding and rogue component management.
• Work with relevant teams to promote a safety culture that creates and maintains a safe approach in all aspects of work.
• Work with relevant teams to set availability and reliability targets by class and by operating corridor/system.
• Work with relevant teams to evaluate and optimise maintenance inspection intervals and work package content, reducing maintenance time and increasing availability.
• In association with relevant teams, implement reliability programs by class and operating corridor/system.
• In association with Technical Reliability, develop statistical reliability models and fault trees.
• Work with Planning teams and Leadership to ensure the existence of one maintenance plan, that all stakeholders plan, schedule and comply with.
• Work with relevant specialists and Maintenance Planning teams in developing and deploying standard maintenance processes, procedures and work packages by classes and operating corridors/systems.
• Provide frontline information and input to relevant team as relates to warranty and insurance matters.

• Mechanical Trade qualification and experience
• Elevated level of problem-solving skills.
• High level of interpersonal, written and oral communication skills in an autonomous work environment.
• High level of analytical and conceptual skill
