Electrical Reliability Specialist who will lead the development and implementation of asset management practices and maintenance strategies for the onboard HME (Heavy Mobile Equipment) electrical systems and supporting electrical infrastructure. This extends from sustainment of existing operational fleets to incoming green fleets.The position provides support and guidance to both central and site-based electrical functions related to HV electrical mobile fleets and supporting infrastructure. This extends to providing technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to the site-based
Electrical Reliability Engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain and review asset management standards and strategies for electrical systems to comply with Fortescue and statutory requirements.
- Lead the integration of new HME green fleet into existing asset management practices i.e.maintenance strategy, critical spares rationale.
- Lead and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for faults and failures in the electrical systems.
- Lead and engage OEM with product performance issues through CI and DE processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to site teams for Electrical Reliability and performance concerns.
- Provide high-level technical support and guidance to Electrical Reliability Engineers and reliability teams.
- Supporting the specification, selection and delivery of the HME green fleet and supporting infrastructure.
- Provide supervision to Undergraduate Engineers.
Qualifications and Experience- Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering or relevant trade qualification with extensive experience in similar role.
- Heavy mobile equipment and/or autonomous fleet experience.
- Fixed plant HV and LV distribution systems.
- Facilitation of RCA, DE and CI processes.
- Practical knowledge of Heavy Mobile Equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical ELV, LV and HV distribution systems.
- Knowledge of electrical protection systems for mobile equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical and machine Standards (Australian or other relevant Standards)
- Strong conceptual thinking and analytical focus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and continual improvement focus.
- Knowledge of computer management systems (SAP, MS Office etc).
- Communication, Facilitation and Presentation skills.
