About the role: Relief Education Assistant
- Employment Type: Expression of Interest Pool, Contracts may vary.
We're looking for committed and energetic Education Assistants to become part of our Relief - Expression of Interest Pool.
As an Education Assistant, you'll be crucial in backing up our college by stepping in for regular Education Assistants when they're away. These roles provide a flexible timetable and the chance to work in varied educational settings across various grade levels (Kindergarten - Year 12).
Position Requirements:
- A passion for education and a desire to make a difference.
- Appropriate qualifications as an Educational Assistant (Certificate 3 minimum).
- Superhuman collaboration skills - you'll be working side by side with our amazing teaching team!

- Dedication to creating a safe and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.
Essential Criteria:
- To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- To actively be a part of a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
- To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Build co-operative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents.
- Work to ensure personal best practice.
- Ensure that decision making is based on fact and is impartial and fair.
- Model the use of appropriate and proper channels of communication.
- Always act in the best interest of the College and its ethos.
- Adhering to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
- First Aid certificate is desirable.
- Working With Children Card.
Essential Information about this position:
- This position is part of our Relief Pool, which means that applications will be stored for a period of six months. If you wish to be included after this time, you would need to reconfirm your application with the HR Team.
- While being part of the Relief Teacher - Expression of Interest Pool does not guarantee a teaching position, applicants will be considered when relief teachers are required.
- Relief teaching positions may vary in duration and frequency depending on the needs of the college.
- Suitable candidates will be notified when relief teaching opportunities arise and will have the option to accept or decline interviews/positions based on their availability.
