St Patrick’s College, Strathfield is a Catholic school for boys in the Edmund Rice tradition offering a quality education to over 1,400 boys from Years 5 to 12. It began with an enrolment of 39 boys in 1928 and today offers a quality education for over 1400 boys and young men, ordinarily aged from 10 to 18.

The Religious Education program of St Patrick’s works in partnership with all other faculties of the College. In particular, this program works with the Spiritual Development program to ensure a holistic, human and authentically Catholic formation of students, staff and parents. As an educator who is passionate about Religious Education, you will delight providing a powerful context to enhance understanding of the nature and significance of religion.
Temporary full-time contract position – Commence Monday 22 July 2024 and conclude Friday 27 September 2024 (Term 3, 2024)

You will be someone who is committed to delivering the best possible teaching practices and learning experiences, integrated with a thorough content knowledge.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate you satisfy all of the following selection criteria:
Essential criteria
- A working understanding of, and commitment to the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition.
- Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice.
- Qualified to teach Religious Education (Stage 4 and Stage 5) and Studies of Religion (Stage 6) with NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.
- Commitment to excellence as a classroom practitioner.
- Ability to cater to a diverse range of learning needs through differentiation of curriculum.
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience teaching Studies of Religion (Stage 6).
