The Role
The Relocation Officer will provide pre-employment and integration support for new employees relocating to the Sunraysia area and will work closely with the Human Resources Recruitment team for relocation and onboarding support. This position will also support the wellbeing of the new employees by connecting individuals and their families to create social and professional connections needed to settle into their new community by working collaboratively with mental health services, local councils and sporting clubs, as well as establishing and maintaining a buddy program for our new community.
This position is part time (22.8 hours per week), ongoing.
- Be a key contact and provide general information for individuals wishing to move and settle in the Sunraysia community & work collaboratively with relevant internal and external stakeholders to support the relocation process for new employees and their families.
- Provide a positive and supportive arrival experience for new employees and their families in the region & connect new employees with essential services such as accommodation providers, schools and childcare facilities and health care.
- Assist new employees and their families to integrate and connect with social, community groups and activities of interest (i.e. sporting clubs, social clubs) that will encourage long-term settlement and participation in the region.
- Provide information and advice on employment and education opportunities to support all family members & connect new arrivals and their families with people already living in the region who can support them to settle to the area.

Essential
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant employment and education related qualifications together with work experience relevant to the role (i.e. business administration, training & assessment, career development wellbeing).
- Extensive knowledge of the region including key areas such as accommodation, employment providers, schools, social and community programs and the ability to travel within the region.
- Understanding of local diversity issues and experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Desirable
- High level experience in facilitating meetings, workshops and public events
- Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated capacity to develop flexible solutions
