Job Description:
As a Remedial Massage Therapist at Inner Balance Health, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional massage therapy services tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients. Utilizing your expertise in Remedial Massage techniques, you will assist clients in relieving pain, reducing tension, and improving their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' health history, conditions, and specific concerns to determine the most appropriate course of treatment.
- Develop personalized Remedial Massage therapy plans based on the assessment findings, incorporating a variety of techniques to address clients' unique needs.
- Perform Remedial Massage treatments with precision and care, focusing on alleviating muscular tension, promoting relaxation, and enhancing mobility.
- Educate clients on self-care techniques, including stretching exercises, posture improvement, and stress management strategies, to support their ongoing wellness goals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards and confidentiality guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals within the center, such as chiropractors, physiotherapists, and naturopaths, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in Remedial Massage therapy, including new techniques, research findings, and industry trends, and incorporate relevant updates into your practice.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and customer service in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and staff members.
Qualifications:
- Certification or diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Current licensure or registration as a Remedial Massage Therapist in the applicable jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing Remedial Massage therapy.
- Proficiency in a wide range of Remedial Massage techniques, including deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, sports massage and dry needling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities, with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and continuous learning in the field of Remedial Massage therapy.
- CPR certification and knowledge of basic first aid procedures (preferred).
