About us:
Omega Medical specializes in assisting employers to find the medical and healthcare talent required for temporary, locum, or permanent positions.
We take a hands-on approach when working with our nurses, assisting with the onboarding process and offering continuous communication throughout your contracts.
Your duties:
- Work as part of a collaborative team
- Work work initiative and autonomy
- Coordinate call outs, transfers, and referrals
- Use critical care skills to direct the plan of care for patients presenting to the ED, or requiring urgent call outs
- Promote a safe working environment for all patients and staff. Work within your scope of practice whilst referring to the professional code on conduct.
- Communicate with Emergency Services, your team of nurses and doctors as well as the clinic managers.
- Manage the team on designated shifts
Requirements:
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Masters/Bachelor of Nursing
- ED, Triage, RAN experience mandatory
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, with critical decision making
