The Role:
As a Backend Web Developer, you will be working with our in-house development team to enhance existing functionality and add new features to our platform. Our website and systems are developed entirely in house, as such you will play a critical role in its development and maintenance, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain back-end components of our custom-built platform.
- Collaborate with the front-end team to deliver new features.
- Design and optimize database structures.
- Implement new features and functionality based on business requirements.
- Ensure the platform is secure, stable and scalable.
Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of web development experience.
- Solid skills and experience with PHP 8.1, MySQL 8, and JavaScript - mandatory, testing applies.
- Strong database design skills.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS/LessCSS.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Experience with Composer
Optional Experience (Not Mandatory, But a Plus):
- S3 compatible storage systems
- Use and creation of REST APIs.
- Exposure to multi-language and localized data
