The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Renewables Engineer/ Analyst to join us in our Commercial Power team in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth or Brisbane on a permanent full time basis.
Reporting to the Head of Renewable Project Development, you will play a key role in VRE resource assessments, concept layouts for wind, solar and/or BESS using Windpro and PVsyst, involved with prospecting Greenfield VRE sites, grid connection option analysis, monitoring and tracking competition and new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for wind data management and monitoring equipment location and management
  • Responsible for the high-level resource assessment for new VRE prospect sites
  • Responsible to complete concept level layouts for wind, solar and BESS sites using industry wide accepted software such as Windpro and PVsyst
  • Work with the Business Development team to assist in the early-stage concept development and to optimise grid integration on VRE concept layouts that best suit the customer needs
  • Assist with assessing grid connection options and rank options based on economic feasibility, potential thermal constraints, MLF and competition impacting the capacity
Your background
  • Tertiary qualification and/or relevant work experience in related discipline
  • Demonstrated engineering experience or strong analyst experience in concept designs and high-level assessment for optimal solutions
  • Knowledge of Windpro software is desirable
  • Knowledge and experience in renewables site identification and project development processes
  • Proven knowledge and experience in the development of energy projects in Australia

This is an exciting time for the newly created Energy Development Accelerator which has a mandate to create a portfolio of developments across Australia. This role will be fundamental in achieving this goal.
