Job Description
The objective of this position is to be the local Repair Loop Technician for TOMRA’s RVM hardware. You will be required to inspect, test and repair hardware such as printers, power supplies, motors, LCD and touch screen components.
You will report to the Repair Loop Supervisor and Technical Team Manager on repair progress and success/failure rates.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, test and record parts received for repair
  • Implement repair procedures and record success/failure rates
  • Analyse and report on data gathered from returned parts
  • Maintain a clean, well-organised and ESD controlled workplace
  • Deliver training to local technicians on correct handling, fault finding and possible field repair options
  • Suggest and implement performance improving actions across TCA’s RVM portfolio
  • Testing of repair parts according to internal quality standards
Qualifications
Technical/ Professional:
  • Proven experience electronics repair
  • Previous hands on or field experience
  • Certificate III level qualification in an electronics trade or higher education qualification that must relate directly to the work carried out
  • Disconnect-Reconnect Certificate (or able to obtain based on qualifications)
General:
  • Computer literacy
  • Proven technical capabilities
  • Proven experience in high quality work and attention to detail
  • An interest in emerging technology and environmentalism
  • Ability to learn and adapt new concepts
  • Solution and result driven
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly
  • Demonstrates a prioritised approach to safety
