Offshore Services Australasia (OSA) is the leading supplier of helicopter services to the Australian Offshore industry. We operate multiple helicopter types from a number of bases throughout Australia and Timor Leste, providing support to major oil and gas producers.
About the role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Rescue Crew Officer to join our Offshore Aviation team on a full-time touring basis. The role will support our helicopter operations throughout Australia and Timor Leste.
Key responsibilities:
- Adhere to Company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Operate rescue equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre-flight checks of SAR, sling load and winch equipment.
- Provide information concerning aircraft safety.
- Maintain rescue and sling load equipment in a serviceable condition.
- Assist the Aircrew Officer in the management of rear cabin during flying operations.
- Render first aid when necessary.
- Meet all Company Operational Standards.
- Ensure that self and crew comply with, and that the aircraft is operated to and in accordance with the Operations Manual, procedures and any additional relevant legislation or direction.
Essential requirements:
- Current CASA Class II Medical Certificate.
- Ability to comply with any Direction or client requirement to be vaccinated against COVID 19.
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Ability to pass and maintain company fitness test.
Desirable requirements:
- Current Advanced Resuscitation Certificate.
- TBOSIET/HUET Qualified.
- Current Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate.
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Experience in Emergency Medical Services/SAR environment.
- Bronze Medallion.
