AddressWe are looking for an enthusiastic nurse to join our growing, friendly team. Must be available for varying shifts between 7.45am and 5.45pm. We are located in St Kilda East, close to public transport and have limited parking available on site.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting doctors with patient consults and procedures
- Consenting patients and providing aftercare advice
- Wound care and removal of sutures
- Various nursing procedures such as wart treatments and Iontophoresis for hyperhidrosis
- Drawing up and administration of local anaesthetic
- Sterilising equipment
- Patient photography
- Recording patient notes
- Calling patients with results and enquiries
Essential experience/Qualifications:
- RN/EN (medication endorsed) with a current AHPRA registration
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask is essential as we are a very busy clinic
- Strong IT skills including Outlook and Word
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Genie medical software
- Previous dermatology experience would be highly regarded
- The ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
