The University of Western Australia (UWA) is ranked among the top 100 universities in the world and a member of the prestigious Australian Group of Eight research intensive universities. With a strong research track record, vibrant campus and working environments, supported by the freedom to innovate and inspire, there is no better time to join Western Australia’s top university.

About the team
Join our dynamic team at the forefront of ground-breaking research as we embark on the next phase of the Raine Study, one of the largest and most successful prospective longitudinal studies worldwide. With a dedicated cohort of approximately 2000 lifelong volunteers, the Raine Study has been collecting invaluable health data for over 34 years, spanning across generations.

In this dynamic role, your key responsibilities will encompass establishing meaningful connections with Gen 2 participants (the original Raine Study participants), leveraging your communication skills to facilitate the successful recruitment of their Gen 3 offspring. Your role will be instrumental in coordinating face-to-face appointments for Gen 3, ensuring a seamless and participant-friendly process. Additionally, you will play a vital role in facilitating data collection through online questionnaires, maintaining detailed records, and handling general project administration with precision.

Understanding the importance of flexibility, you will engage with Gen 2 participants thoughtfully, recognising the need for the involvement of their Gen 3 offspring to align seamlessly with their lives and schedules. Your ability to foster a positive and accommodating environment, both face-to-face and via phone and email communication, will be critical in ensuring sustained commitment from our dedicated cohort.

Immerse yourself in our dynamic workplace, where we prioritise your ongoing growth and development in a supportive setting. You will have access to enriching on-the-job training opportunities, including Mental Health First Aid and Ally training.

Join us in this unique opportunity to be part of a study that has captivated the interest of over 250 researchers worldwide. If you are passionate about pioneering research, adept at engaging participants, and committed to harmonising project participation with the lives of our valued cohort, we invite you to contribute to advancing our understanding of health and well-being across generations. Be a driving force in shaping the future of health research with the Raine Study!

About the opportunity
As the appointee you will, under routine direction, take the lead in contacting Gen 2 participants to recruit and schedule Gen 3 participants for follow-up appointments. Your role involves distributing and monitoring completion of questionnaires, accurate data entry, and engaging with participants through various channels, all while prioritising privacy protocols to safeguard participant information. This role presents a distinctive opportunity to support ground-breaking research by providing administrative assistance to one of the few multi-generational longitudinal cohort studies globally.
