2-year full time, fixed term opportunityOpportunity to work on a key research project in the School of Mathematics & StatisticsBase Salary (Level A/B) $105,350 - $140,586 + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunityWe are currently seeking a Research Associate/Fellow in Representation Theory to participate in a research program investigating the Representation Theory of cyclotomic KLR algebras in the context of the ARC Project “Categorification and KLR algebras”. As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking a Research Associate/Fellow who has:A PhD in a relevant fieldpublished research, as sole author or in collaboration, in refereed journalsexperience in mathematical research, preparation of research papers and seminarsdemonstrated expertise in Representation Theory and algebraic combinatoricsdemonstrated capacity to work co-operatively with others with the ability to undertake independent teaching and research in staff member’s discipline or related areaexcellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detailexcellent written and verbal communication skills.Applicants who demonstrate the following desirable criteria will be highly regarded:have working knowledge of the Representation Theory of the cyclotomic KLR algebras, Kac-Moody algebras, categorification and crystals.programming skills with experience using mathematical software such as sage, gap or magmaability to supervise students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.To apply, please submit a cover letter that addresses the following questions and attach it to your application:1.
