Key accountabilities include:
- Drive the compilation of environmental-economic accounts using the cutting-edge System of Environmental Economic Accounting framework. Unleash the power of R-coding in Databricks to extract, transform, and fill these accounts with precision.
- Contribute to diverse environmental-economic assessments using proven valuation techniques. Collaborate seamlessly with departmental peers, tapping into their expertise to gather data for specific indicators and seamlessly integrate it into the accounts.
- Craft dynamic technical reports, briefing notes, and submissions that deliver accurate and high-quality environmental-economic information.
- Lead consultants in conducting economic studies related to environmental management, aligning their work seamlessly with NSW government priorities.
- Cultivate dynamic relationships and networks with stakeholders, championing the integration of environmental-economic approaches in decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to code in R.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to secure the exchange and collation of information.
- Exercising judgement, discretion and confidentiality when developing and providing advice and representing the organisation.
- Degree in Economics, Economic statistics or similar.
- Familiarity with micro and macro-economic methods for estimating economic values.
