About the Role
This prominent NSW Government agency is dedicated to enhancing government services through data-driven insights. We're seeking a candidate for an immediate start on a 4-month contract (potential extension) at $73.82 p/h + super. Enjoy the flexibility of fully remote work with this dynamic team.
Key accountabilities include:

• Drive the compilation of environmental-economic accounts using the cutting-edge System of Environmental Economic Accounting framework. Unleash the power of R-coding in Databricks to extract, transform, and fill these accounts with precision.
• Contribute to diverse environmental-economic assessments using proven valuation techniques. Collaborate seamlessly with departmental peers, tapping into their expertise to gather data for specific indicators and seamlessly integrate it into the accounts.
• Craft dynamic technical reports, briefing notes, and submissions that deliver accurate and high-quality environmental-economic information.
• Lead consultants in conducting economic studies related to environmental management, aligning their work seamlessly with NSW government priorities.
• Cultivate dynamic relationships and networks with stakeholders, championing the integration of environmental-economic approaches in decision-making.

About You

• Demonstrated ability to code in R.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to secure the exchange and collation of information.
• Exercising judgement, discretion and confidentiality when developing and providing advice and representing the organisation.
• Degree in Economics, Economic statistics or similar.
• Familiarity with micro and macro-economic methods for estimating economic values.
