Form of workMacromonitor is a leading industry research and forecasting firm, specialising in the building and construction, mining and utilities sectors, and general macroeconomic forecasting. We provide high quality information to blue chip clients, for use in their business planning and strategy formulation. We produce subscription reports as well as commissioned reports for specific clients.
We are currently seeking to fill two roles - an experienced economist and also a recent graduate to work as a Research Assistant. Both roles will contribute to our research and forecasting reports, and help develop our product offering. The roles require a passion for economics, aptitude working with large amounts of data and producing high-quality, in-depth economic reports. The roles are located in Sydney (Epping).
The roles involve:
- Compiling and maintaining databases
- Gathering and interpreting information from a wide variety of sources
- Manipulating and analysing data
- Economic forecasting
- Producing high quality forecasting reports for senior management in client organisations
Candidates should possess:
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong numeracy and data analysis skills
- High level skills in written communication and the visual presentation of data
- Attention to detail, methodical and accurate approach to work
- Experience with R desired but not essential
