  • Full time, continuing role as Research Readiness Engineer

  • Provide project management and utilise your exceptional stakeholder skills

  • Base Salary from $117,116 plus 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join the high-impact Research Infrastructure team within the Research Portfolio. As the Research Readiness Engineer, you will ensure implementation of the infrastructure services associated with the University's Core Research Facilities (CRF) & Research Service Units (RSUs). You will provide overall project management and act as an interface between a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • manage Research Readiness organisation and establishment to deliver infrastructure services supporting installation of research equipment

  • manage the development and implementation of Research Readiness plans to deliver capability-supporting infrastructure projects

  • develop and embed a project governance and reporting framework to monitor implementation, progress and delivery of your projects

  • manage diverse project stakeholders and collaborate with project teams to ensure that project deliverables and milestones are achieved

  • monitor project financials against budget with a focus on maximising value for the University and Research Infrastructure.

About you

  • tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (engineering, science etc.) and/or extensive experience with capital works and/or construction projects management

  • experience working in the higher education sector or within a multi-faceted, complex organization

  • experience project managing multiple work streams, or leading large, complex projects

  • strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills

  • financial management experience with the ability to manage project budgets

  • excellent communication skills with sound negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
