At Shangri-La, The Marina, Cairns, we have an excellent opportunity for an
experienced Reservations Manager, to join our Sales and Marketing team.
You will be supporting the Director of Sales & Marketing by overseeing
all activities relating to Reservations.
The Hotel
Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel located beside Marlin Marina
and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns. With 255 guest rooms, 18 function venues and
extensive food and beverage facilities, the hotel is part of a leading international
company with more than 100 hotels and resorts worldwide.
The Role
Extensive experience using Opera PMS is essential
Previous experience in a Reservations/Front Office Management or
Supervisory role
Comprehensive understanding of hotel systems and revenue management
principles
Assist with enquires, bookings, liaising with key departments, establishing
strong relationships with our clients
The ability to manage time efficiently with competing deadlines
Strategic and tactical thinking to develop plans, establish goals and set
performance targets to meet deadlines and timeframes
Exceptional telephone technique with exceptional communication skills
Performing qualify checks on existing bookings to ensure accuracy
