The Langham, Gold Coast has an opportunity for a service focused, commercially aware and motivated Reservations Manager to join our pre-opening team to establish our Reservations Department.
Key Responsibilities
As Reservations Manager you will be responsible for the day-to day operations and strategic leadership of the Reservations Team and work closely with the Director of Revenue to establish the pre-arrival experience and rate and inventory management and forecasting.
As the Reservations leader you will consistently display a strong focus on personalised service, brand standards and the development of the skills of the Reservations Team and encourage a sales attitude amongst all colleagues to ensure maximization of room sales and revenue for the Property.
Develop Hotel Operating Procedures, including our pre-arrival experience and support recruitment for Reservations Colleagues. The Reservations Manager will play a pivotal role, supporting the Director of Revenue to drive our strategic rooms planning and other key responsibilities to ensure The Property meets our Brand Standards and pursues service excellence.
Qualifications & Skills
Our Reservations Manager will a strategic decision maker who combines their commercial intuitive with superior guest service.To be successful in the role you will have been in the same or similar position at a luxury hotel and proven experience leading reservations teams in a luxury environment.
Other key attributes we are looking for include:
- Passion for service excellence and providing superior hospitality
- Previous detailed experience of Opera, Delphi, Synxis or similar
- Knowledge of revenue management systems such as IDeaS and experience of rate and inventory management and forecasting
- Independent & ability to work under pressure.
- Highly organised and ability to delegate effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong Commercial & Financial Acumen
- Australian work rights
- Luxury hotel pre-opening experience highly desirable
