As a group, we are growing rapidly and as part of the , actively helping to advance the energy transition towards net zero.Our Crisis and Organisational Resilience Team is growing and seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill a permanent, full-time Resilience Specialist role in Brisbane or another major EQL location by negotiation.About the role:As the Resilience Specialist, you’re responsible for leading the development, implementation and maintenance of the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SoCI) Act Program across EQL. Formulating comprehensive projects plans, project risks, resource and cost analysis, tracking of actions and the ongoing reporting of program deliverables, you effectively deliver the mandatory requirements outlined in the legislation and accompanying rules as they apply to the business.Designing and overseeing EQL’s Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Programs (CIRMP), you develop education, training, and communication programs, produce appropriate compliance metrics and reporting for internal and external purposes, including mandatory reporting for the Executive and Board to meet annual attestation obligations.You lead coordination groups and associated forums in the ongoing management of the programs and participate in various state and national forums in support of the legislative and overall management of critical infrastructure resilience requirements.Reporting directly to the Manager Crisis and Organisational Resilience, you ultimately ensure compliance to all elements of the regulatory requirements of the SoCI Act Program and provide specialist advice to the business in relation to the requirements and application of the legislation and rules in relevant areas.The remuneration for your new role is from $164k plus 12.75% super for a 9-day fortnight and from $186k plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.For more information about this role, click on the Position Description link located at the bottom of the page.Why choose to work for us?It’s an exciting time to join us and to be involved in the energy sector, so consider us for your next career move, where you will experience:

About you:You’re an experienced resilience professional with degree qualification in an appropriate field (Organisational Resilience, Security Management, Business or Risk Management). Alternatively, you have the demonstrable knowledge, experience and capability required to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of this role.You have demonstrated experience in the application of regulatory and/or legislative programs in large, complex, geographically dispersed organisations, with experience in the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act or regulatory changes within a critical infrastructure sector.As an autonomous, outcome-focused team member, your excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are crucial to your success. You have a natural ability to interact positively and effectively with all levels of the business including senior risk owners, function owners and industrial partners.You adopt an analytical approach, complemented by your strong critical thinking, problem-solving and timely problem escalation skills.You’re highly adept in analysing data and defining and developing compliance reporting requirements for regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders, including Executive and Board level dashboards. Additionally, if you hold demonstrated experience in the design and development of policies, standards, and plans for critical infrastructure resilience management, this will be highly desirable.Most importantly, you strongly align with our values: We’re Safe – We Belong – We Grow - We Deliver.About us:Energy Queensland is the group of electricity distribution, retail, and energy services businesses 100% owned by the state of Queensland.
