About You
  • You have demonstrated knowledge and experience in searching a range of online databases, expert searching, literature reviews and bibliographic management.
  • You have demonstrated experience in proactively proposing and implementing policies, procedures, objectives and guidelines for the development and management of information resources in all formats.
  • A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification and eligibility for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
What you'll be doing

The primary purpose of this position is responsibility for selecting, evaluating and managing access to information resources (books, journals, databases and other resources) held by the CCLHD Library in all formats. These resources support evidence based clinical decision-making, research and education across the organisation. This position is a key source of expert advice to the Library Manager regarding resource purchasing decisions.

The Resources Librarian is responsible for liaising with the Clinical Information Access Portal (CIAP) administrators regarding all aspects of access to, use of and changes to the CIAP resources. The position is also responsible for liaising with The University of Newcastle Library regarding the library management system. The position also takes responsibility for monitoring and maintaining platforms or portals used by the Library Service to provide onsite and remote access to subscribed resources.
