Providing care for inpatients, conducting outpatient clinics, and overseeing the outpatient respiratory function testing service. You will be a part of the Medical Unit inpatient roster, including ward rounds, on-call service, bronchoscopy roster, and other interventional procedures as needed.The role will also involve developing the model of care for the onsite Respiratory Function Laboratory testing service, contributing to the enhancement of patient care in the region.The Location

This is a 280 bed acute and extended care facility which provides surgical, medical, paediatric, obstetrics and gynaecology, intensive care and psychiatry services as well as extended care and regional services. A high incidence of road accidents, skin cancer, farm injuries and work safety accidents occur in the region. Population numbers swell during the fruit harvest season when an estimated 10,000 itinerant workers from throughout Australia and overseas visit the region. Snake bites, cuts, scratches to the eyes from branches, injuries caused by falling from a fruit picking ladder and allergic reactions are among the most common conditions treated during the this period.The Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with full accreditation in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine with the Specialist Training Committee of the RACP
