Position Summary
Respiratory/Sleep Medicine Physician
- Temporary part time (January 2023- February 2024) to cover Maternity leave.

About the role
The Maternity leave backfill hours have been split into TWO roles as outlined below however all hours can be filled by one applicant if desired.
Role 1
Weekly Wednesday afternoon Rapid Access Respiratory clinic BHH = 3.5 hrs per week
Additional hours for ward service/bronchoscopy if undertaken.
Total base = 7 hours per fortnight.
Role 2
Weekly Friday afternoon general Respiratory clinic BHH = 3.5 hrs per week
Additional hours for ward service/bronchoscopy if undertaken.
Total base = 7 hours per fortnight.
About you
The Fractional Specialist will be part of the Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, Eastern Health and take part in the rostered clinical care of inpatients, in our outpatient clinics, supervision and reporting of respiratory function tests as supervised by the Director of Respiratory Medicine, Eastern Health.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the RACP.
- Full accreditation in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine with the Specialist Training Committee of the RACP.
- An academic research degree PhD or MD desirable.
- Experience in interventional pulmonology and non-invasive ventilation desirable.
- Experience in and commitment to the provision of high quality services.
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
