Purpose
As Restaurant & Bar Manager you will assume full responsibility for managing every facet of OVELLO Bar and Kitchen. This role offers you a unique platform to demonstrate your exceptional leadership abilities, gastronomic proficiency, and talent for providing extraordinary guest experiences that will leave a lasting impression.
This opportunity is ideal for an accomplished Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager or a highly capable Supervisor who excels in motivating teams towards excellence and is poised to advance their career. With a base salary of $75,000, this role provides the perfect platform for growth and professional development
What makes this role unique?
- Tuesday - Saturday with limited late finishes required
- Manage bespoke events working with external suppliers to create fun and unique experiences
- Oversee daytime C&E events
- You will have the ability to be creative and drive initiatives from a revenue generation perspective. Huge ability to put YOUR OWN stamp on OVELLO from community centric engagements, service style and beverage offering!
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational aspects of OVELLO Bar and Kitchen, develop innovative and insightful strategies for optimising guest experience and revenue growth opportunities
- Leverage your expertise to guide and mentor your team, ensuring they consistently craft memorable moments
- Collaborate closely with our Head Chef
- Manage administrative and planning aspects, including but not limited to scheduling, reporting, package and promotion development, recruitment, personnel management, inventory management, and ordering.
Skills and Experience
- Prior experience as an Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager or strong Supervisor and comfortable leading and training teams
- You enjoy engaging and inspiring others fostering a positive workplace atmosphere
- Understanding of managing budgets, overseeing stock, and managing staff schedules
- You are a clear communicator
- Flexibility to accommodate a varied work schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Exceptional organisational skills with a knack for prioritisation and a keen sense of urgency
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and effectiveness when faced with high-pressure situations
- Possession of a valid QLD RSA
