PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Managing and organising the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
Monitoring the quality of restaurant services and dishes served at all times, through assessment of customer feedback, in maintaining a high standard of operations.
Monitor food preparation and health and safety practices to ensure the restaurant and staff are presentable and in compliance with company standards and regulations.
Planning menus in liaison with Cooks and Chefs to ensure the restaurant consistently offers a variety of fresh and current dishes.
Dealing with and resolving customer complaints and assessing feedback to continuously work on improving service.
Greeting customers, and assisting in taking orders from time to time, to offer a high level of customer service.
Working closely with the Director to set up the sales forecast and reviewing and monitoring expenditure according to budget limitations.
Organizing the daily and weekly rosters for staff
Managing recruitment process such as selecting staff, carrying out ad organizing training as required and supervising staff to ensure compliance with company standards.
Controlling stock levels, including undertaking purchase order, negotiating prices with suppliers, keeping purchasing/payment records, and recording stock takes.
Undertaking daily and monthly banking and budget reports
Assisting with stock control for restaurant including ordering & storage in accordance with the Food Safety
Ensuring sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness and maintenance of food service and dining areas and complying with health and safety regulations.
ACADEMIC AND TRADE QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualification required is AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma with 2 years mandatory relevant work experience. Three years relevant experience will be considered suitable in place of the above qualification.

Certification & Engagement Review
Employment and position engagement appraisal and review would be conducted by the Directors every year upon the commencement month of initial engagement as per job description and position above.
