Our buffet restaurant caters to public, FIFO & local company contractors. Open for breakfast & dinner we provide some of the best options for workers in Kalgoorlie. Additional to the restaurant we have a jam packed function season catering for events up to 150 people.
As a Restaurant Manager it is your responsibility to uphold the quality, cleanliness, training and team leadership required to keep our venue as one of the best in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Our Venue
The Kalgoorlie Overland Motel set just off the town center of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. We offer 92 rooms to FIFO and travelers, an on-site pool & function center. Our buffet restaurant caters to 200+ people per meal with additional functions and events throughout the year.
About the Role - Restaurant Manager, you will be:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the buffet restaurant (Breakfast & Dinner).
- Communicate with the Head Chef & Operations Manager.
- Lead a team of experienced individuals and provide support for ongoing growth.
- Product management and ordering.
- Provide insight to management regarding restaurant improvements, employee needs & general comments.
- Build professional relationships with long term clientele and other guest.
- Shift times will follow meal times, minimum 5 nights per week.
What we require from you.
- Minimum 3 years hospitality experience, senior level preferred.
- Flexibility to work as required on a changing roster, most importantly weekends and public holidays as needed.
- Experience in additional duties, stocktake, ordering, financials etc.
- Above average computer skills and understanding.
- Strong English literacy skills.
- Leadership experience within a team.
- Friendly, motivated individual who is happy to work independently when required.
