Spices 29 a Goan Indian Restaurant was started on the NSW Central Coast in Woy Woy on April 1st 2018 and since then, has become the Heart of Woy Woy. The restaurant has been recognized for its excellence and has been a finalist as the Best Indian Restaurant for the state awards organized by the Restaurant and Catering Association of Australia for Regional NSW for 2019,2020 and 2022 as in 2021 the awards were not conducted due to Covid. Year 2023 Spices 29 Emerged as the Winners for the best Indian Restaurant in the Entire Regional NSW. Spices 29 have also Won the national level as a Bronze winner for the Best Indian Restaurant.Spices 29 Goan Indian Restaurant is a well established busy business since 2018 aiming to give complete satisfaction to our valued patrons with the actual flavors of Spices.(Its all about the flavors and not the Heat)
We are aiming to satisfy our customers with a whole hearted welcome feel at home.
29 depicts the 29 states of India. We have put our menu together keeping in mind the delicacies in the different states of India.
We have introduced Portuguese Goan Cuisine on the Central coast and have been a very successful grow since then. Goan Cuisine is a fusion of Indian and Portuguese Cuisine.
Main duties Would Include:
(1) Supervising the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
(2) Liaising closely with chefs and ensuring the relationship with the kitchen team.
(3) Planning menus in consultation with chefs.
(4) Ensuring the restaurant is ready to be opened on time.
(5) Managing the restaurant bookings and table allocations.
(6) Providing outstanding food and beverage service.
(7) Taking guest orders and communicating with the kitchen to ensure customer satisfaction.
(8) Removing unwanted or dirty dishes and returning to the kitchen.
(9) Ensuring the restaurant remains clean and tidy.
(10)Ensuring food-safe handling standards are practiced at all times.
(11)Hiring, training staff, and performance management.
(12) Assist For Food Deliveries if required.
(13)Managing private functions.
(14)Supplier ordering, managing stock control, and stock-taking procedures.
(15)Contributing to budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications required:
(1) AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma or
(2) At least three years of relevant experience and
(3) A great personal demeanor or communication skills
Essential skills required:
(1) Good understanding of the hospitality industry and restaurant operation
(2) Friendly, patient and helpful
(3) Motivated
(4) Ability to multitask
(5) Ability to work well under pressure
(6) Good at planning and organizing
(7) Good at managing people
(8) Good and efficient communication skills
(9) RSA and barista skills
