Objectives and Responsibilities
· Responsible for the overall running of a restaurant
· Liaising with the Hotel Manager to ensure the restaurant's operations fall within the hotel’s objectives.
· Ensuring the full operation of the Restaurant for advertised opening times.
· Working with chefs to plan operations, menus, and specials.
· Leading the team hands-on, ensuring a consistent and proactive approach.
· Plan, hire, train, oversee, and manage the staff members.
· Complete rostering as required and ensure staffing levels and monitored to ensure staff budget costs are not unnecessarily exceeded.
· Ensuring quality control is maintained on all food and drink products.
· Manage the financial aspects of the restaurant, including budgets, and control the POS System including transactions (Discounts & Refunds, etc.).
· Manage inventory and ordering of supplies, ensuring that the cafe has the necessary ingredients and equipment to operate smoothly.
· Promote, organize, and run catering and functions.
· Ensuring dining facilities are clean, functional, and of suitable appearance.
· Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services.
· Create and maintain a focus on providing an excellent and memorable customer experience.
Qualifications and Skills
· Relevant Diploma or higher qualification and at least 2 years relevant job experience OR at least 3 years relevant job experience without a formal qualification.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Strong Organizational Skills
