Our client is a significant player in the Global Retail Convenience and Fuel sector and is well underway to achieve their vision of redefining convenience retailing in Australia and New Zealand.
The purpose of the Retail Project Team is to support this vision by delivering commercial fuel and retail system projects within budget, on schedule and with no harm to people and the environment.

Your New Role:
As the Retail Construction Project Manager, you will be required to lead and manage projects through the delivery phase for all commercial fuel and retail system projects whilst also providing the following:
Retail and fuel upgrades (minor works) and full asset construction (major capital works).
Contractor Management.
Ensure that HSE compliance is met, including HSE management and incident reporting.
Execution and delivery of the project.
An understanding of Australian construction contract law would be favourable.
Ensuring project costs are well defined and completed within budget.
Establish and meet schedules and targets.
Where applicable, ensure the project is executed to meet Council regulations.
Cross-functional communication and stakeholder management.
A knowledge of hydrocarbons is preferred.
About You:
You will possess the experience and desire to undertake the role of Project Manager along with the following:
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a related technical environment such as commercial project and construction management, engineering design, and / or consulting.
Experience in the fuel industry would be a distinct advantage.
Ability to work with multiple suppliers of engineering and construction services.
A strong understanding of front end loading / project design and project stage gate processes.
Strong experience with risk analysis, mitigation and contingency planning.
Experience in commercial retail fit-out is highly desirable.
Status as a permanent resident or citizen of Australia.
