We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride. About the opportunityAs our Retail Customer Service Officer, you’ll play an important part in helping Australians service their own businesses, keeping millions of people connected and building community resilience. Every year around one million customers walk into one of our Australia Post Offices. It’s our retail teams who make sure that every experience they have is a great one. And while they do, they’re supported by a welcoming team, take part in ongoing training, and are guided on career development opportunities.  Role details;Located in Katherine, this is a great opportunity for a lifestyle change! 25 hours / week, rotating roster across Monday - Friday, 8:45am – 5:06pm (Extra hours may become available)During training, hourly rate is $26.42 (Junior rates apply during training for those under 21), after training, hourly rate increases to $28.24 + 12% superannuation+ 5 weeks (paid) annual leave+ District Allowance up to $11,540+ Post Perks!  Access to hundreds of discounts and benefits ranging from discounts on selected Apple products to great deals on hire cars and travel insurance.+ Career opportunities, you will have access to all Australia Post jobs before they are advertised externallyYou'll be:Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS) Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costsBuilding rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance  About you  You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love working in a team environment.
