About the opportunity
Murin Association Inc is seeking energetic and enthusiastic people to join its team to manage its Air Service Terminal in Wadeye for a fixed term. There are two positions available and the opportunity is ideally suited for a couple or people happy to stay in shared worker accommodation.
Murin operates an air service between Darwin and Wadeye in the West Daly region, that provides a scheduled service seven days per week. There are two flights per day Monday to Friday and a single flight on Saturday and Sunday. Hours of work are 40 hours per week, fixed rate plus overtime penalties. The opportunity is for a fixed period of up to four weeks between September and October 2024.
The main responsibilities include:
- Coordinate daily and weekly air transport services, and respond to air charter requests as required;
- Manage passengers and freight bookings utilising the computerised booking system;
- Efficiently coordinate passengers and freight check-ins for all flights;
- Process all email and phone enquiries and communications;
- Ensure safe identification and management of dangerous goods;
- Prepare flight manifests, collecting and logging passenger and baggage/freight weights;
- Load and unload baggage and freight compliant with pilot specifications
- Complete daily administration and banking tasks;
- Manage the day to day needs of air terminal passenger facilities, including cleaning and maintenance of office, passenger areas and surrounding grounds;
- Ensure a safe, supportive and culturally inclusive service through maintenance of positive relationships with customers and colleagues, understanding the importance of cultural diversity;
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and legislative and regulatory requirements;
- Serve as a primary point of contact for all Customer Service matters, ensuring the provision of high-quality Customer Service, including complaints handling and resolution; and
- Assist with barge and freight enquiries and deliveries as and when required.
About you
You will have an Open C Class Driver's Licence (Manual), be physically fit, possess outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, well developed cultural awareness and value diversity, sound administrative and organisational skills and excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software.

- Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
- Dangerous Goods Awareness.
- Ground Handling Competency Checklist.
