About The Team
Coles Property looks after one of Australia's most dynamic portfolios. Coles Group has over 2,500 retail locations around Australia—and we're growing every day. Our team manages every one of these locations. And we work side-by-side with our business units on all thing's property, from site acquisition through to asset management.
As our new Retail Leasing Manager, you will partner with varied senior stakeholders, and be accountable for delivering the property objectives for Coles Supermarkets with a focus on growing our store network in Queensland.
Joining a close-knit happy team, this broad and exciting role will see you work at pace to deliver a small yet significant handful of complex deals and projects per year.
• Identify opportunities to negotiate and secure new and replacement stores
• Prepare board reports for approval, presentations & meeting materials
• Develop property strategies for the existing network and entering new markets
• Help deliver new stores, acquisitions, lease renewals and store extensions
• Liaise and negotiate with landlords to secure favourable outcomes associated with landlord works and complex tenure arrangements.
About you and your skills
With 3-5 years of commercial property experience, you'll ideally bring experience within the QLD retail property landscape. You'll be a brilliant communicator and negotiator with a strong understanding of lease contracts, including financial and legal aspects.
• End-to-end leasing experience, ideally with retailer-side exposure
• Strong commercial skills and financial knowledge of deal structures
• Outstanding stakeholder management skills
• Detail-orientated and well-organised work ethic
• A collaborative and down to earth perspective.
