Retail Shop Assistant (Seafood)

While supplying our local community with the freshest and highest-quality fish, we also play a crucial role in supporting local fishermen and promoting their livelihoods. We are seeking a highly motivated full time / part time / casual staff member to join our expanding team.
About You: If you are passionate about seafood, love working with people and excellent customer services. This is a hands-on position joining a team of staff committed to delivering quality seafood products and customer service. Preferred qualities/experience to ensure success in the role include:
- Proven experience of retail sales is required. Experience with seafood is an advantage.
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
- Experience of monitoring retail store overall visual presentation, preparing promotional materials and displays.
- Set up and/or shutdown of market
- Stock rotation
- General retail and processing duties
- Sound knowledge of food safety & hygiene standards
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a busy environment, and under pressure
- Be reliable and tidy in appearance
- Current Drivers’ License.
Hourly rate will be discussed with successful applicants.
Our retail hours are 8am to 5pm weekdays and 8.30am to 1pm Saturdays (this position will be required to work weekdays and alternative Saturdays).
