This is a newly created position as we are seeking to build our People & Culture Team with a Return to Work/People & Culture Coordinator. This role has a dual-focus and is an integral member of Caringa’s People & Culture team, supporting the delivery of the People & Culture strategy and partners closely with the Safety Officer to drive and champion a strong safety culture.

As the Return to Work (RTW) and People & Culture Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our employees through their Return to Work journeys and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives aimed at promoting employee well-being, retention and engagement.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a Safety, Administration and/or HR coordination role
  • Previous experience in the Disability industry preferable but not essential.
  • Must have an NDIS Worker Check Clearance (employee responsibility)
  • Current and clear Working with Children Check (Employee) or be able to obtain one prior to commencement of employment (employee responsibility) 
  • Effective communication skills – able to communicate clearly, actively listen to others and respond with respect
  • Knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation and the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders in the system, including recovery through work measurement framework
  • An understanding of the legal obligations of NSW employers.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Exceptional writing skills demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to communicate sensitively and understanding
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to Work across areas and prioritise own workload 
  • Ability to Work to deadlines in a busy environment
  • Highly motivated to be proactive, showing initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated patience, with the ability to Work sensitively and professionally on complex matters  
  • High level of customer service skills, networking and stakeholder engagement skills
