The Return to Work (RTW) Consultant plays a crucial role in our organisation by ensuring the provision of a prompt, comprehensive, effective, and efficient Return to Work service for SAAS employees. This role is accountable to the Work Health Safety and Injury Management Manager and is responsible for adhering to Return-to-Work legislation, SA Health Policy, and Accreditation Standards.
The RTW Consultant will maintain a portfolio of cases and work in partnership with employees, managers, volunteers, team members, Workforce members and external stakeholders to ensure an effective early intervention strategy is implemented following a work related injury. The RTW Consultant will apply best practice and strive for continual improvement, to ensure optimum levels of recovery and a cost-effective Injury Management service to SAAS.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide recovery and Return to Work services for assigned injured workers.
- Offer professional support and advice to management regarding their leadership functions supporting their workforce health and wellbeing.
- Provide Injury Management Advisory Services, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
- Build Business Partnerships with internal stakeholders to promote workplace health and safety.
- Use their expertise to ensure best practice management of acute and / or long term or complex cases.
- Monitor, Review, Report, and Continuously Improve Injury Management processes and programs.
This is an initial 12-Month contract with opportunity for conversion to an ongoing position.
