The role
This Government Department is seeking an experienced Return to Work officer to support the team with processing weekly payments. This includes the processing of current weekly earnings, medical certificates and Return to Work plans. It is a 6 months contract role with possible extensions.
Responsibilities
- Support workplaces in HR procedures associated with workers compensation
- Review payroll data to ensure injured workers are receiving the correct payments
- Provide advice to senior management on complex Workers' Compensation issues to enable informed decisions to be made
- Prepare reports, briefings and correspondence relating to Workers' Compensation issues as required
- Resolve complex payroll issues
Required
- Experience working in HR and payroll
- Ability to Work in a process driven environment
- Stakeholder relationship management skills
- Experience in workers compensation - highly regarded
