Join as a GP at the Darwin Correctional Centre, where your expertise will shape the healthcare landscape for inmates. Your responsibilities include:

• Providing clinical leadership within the primary health care team, delivering essential general practice and public health services to prisoners.

• Collaborating with the management team to oversee healthcare service delivery, including support for Alcohol and Other Drugs and Mental Health programs.

• Participating in emergency medical response and aiding in medical evacuations when necessary, ensuring swift and effective healthcare interventions.

• Contributing to the education and training of fellow primary health care providers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill enhancement, including Nurses and Aboriginal Health Practitioners.

June - December 2024

★ A rewarding locum rate of $1800 per day (payment via invoice)

★ No requirement for ED, on-call, public holidays, or weekend work

✓ Current AHPRA Registration

✓ Fellowship of the RACGP or ACRRM (non-specialist GP locums considered)

✓ Australian permanent residency, citizenship, or applicable work visa

✓ NT Police Check (arranged post-confirmation)

✓ Previous correctional experience seen as advantageous but not essential
