PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Risk Control Partner Analyst role enables the operational delivery of A&G’s risk management strategy throughout Product and Claims & Assessing and ensures the compliance and protection of the company through the implementation and maintenance of a robust risk framework. This role will work across Products and Claims & Assessing to formulate and execute key risk governance initiatives for A&G.

Key success criteria include product knowledge and delivery across claims cost management, customer outcomes, productivity, and a culture of high performance with high integrity.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create and foster a strong 1st Line Assurance for Product and C&A.
  • Improve internal Risk Controls, detection, and response capabilities across Product and C&A.
  • Partner with our Quality Assurance Function and the change delivery teams to map, test, and improve our control environment.
  • Maintain detailed technical and practical knowledge of regulatory and industry compliance requirements.
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert in providing risk and compliance advice, expertise, and education across Product and Claims & Assessing.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years of insurance experience (Financial Services/Insurance preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service insight and delivery.
  • Strong ability to negotiate & influence in challenging circumstances with tight timeframes.
  • Ability to establish measurable audit methods for risk and compliance to best suit their customer.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong planning and organisational ability.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory, and compliance obligations to operate in the FSR environment.
