AddressTreasury Risk team provides independent oversight of Traded Market Risk, IRRBB, Treasury Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, Transfer Pricing and Operational Risks in relation to Suncorp's Treasury and Banking activities.
Reporting to the Senior Treasury Analyst the Treasury Risk Analyst will provide independent oversight of Suncorp banking's traded and non-traded market frameworks
What you'll do in a snapshot
- Facilitate the accurate measurement of traded market risk and credit exposures associated with the Bank's treasury activities by sourcing, validating and entering reference and revaluation rate, price and volatility data in core processing and risk systems.
- Measure, monitor, analyse and report on Traded Market & Treasury Credit risk for Suncorp Bank against internal and regulatory policy limits.
- Analyse and investigate trends (both internally and externally), variances and exceptions in measurements and provide high quality clarifications, challenges and explanations.
- Confirm the accuracy of the risk system by reconciling source data to core risk system data.
- Support audit related activities.
What you'll bring
- Relevant undergraduate qualifications are mandatory. (e.g. Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Applied Science)
- Postgraduate qualifications in applied finance or financial analysis discipline are desired
- Preferably 3-5+ years of experience in risk management, quantitative, dealing, accounting or operational role during which time exposure is gained to a range of financial instruments or risk management practices, systems and controls.
