Reporting to the Manager Corporate Services, and assisted by a capable team, the purpose of this diverse and exciting role is to:
- Inspire and lead the delivery of best practice service and business excellence in all areas of Risk Management and WHS for Council.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies, by-laws and statutory obligations.
- Develop and implement internal policies, procedures and systems.
- Coordinate risk identification, auditing, reporting and management activities across Council.
We are seeking a highly driven and skilled individual for this role with a passion for excellence, outstanding attention to detail, and high level written and verbal communication skills.
Although Local government experience would be ideal, you may alternatively have substantial experience acquired from a highly legislated and/or compliance orientated setting.
Qualifications are preferred but not essential, but most important is your substantial, demonstrable Risk Management experience and leadership abilities.
