Primary Details Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeLocation: Adelaide or PerthType: Full-time PermanentThe opportunityDue to internal progression, we have an exciting new opportunity as a Risk Underwriter. This role sits within our Credit & Surety underwriting team. The role will report into the Regional Risk Underwriting Manager. In this position you will act as a Trade Credit business partner with assigned intermediaries and policy holders. You will be responsible for underwriting, monitoring and reviewing Trade Credit risk for a portfolio of clients within set underwriting guidelines.Your new roleYou will complete a variety of tasks in this role including but not limited to:Plan and implement risk strategies to assess and monitor credit risk across multiple portfolios and trade sectorsUnderwrite Trade Credit risk in accordance with organisational policy and underwriting standardsContribute to continuous quality improvement processesAbout youDemonstrated experience or an interest in credit and/or financial risk analysisKnowledge of the insurance or banking/lending industries, particularly Credit Insurance would be preferable but not essentialExcellent analytical and problem-solving capability with an ability to work systematically through complex matters and positively influence outcomesAbility to develop relationships with external and internal to maximise influence and achieve business objectives.Self-motivated with the ability to quickly build proficiency in new systemsAbout QBEWe can never really predict what’s around the corner, but at QBE we’re asking the right questions to enable a more resilient future – helping those around us build strength and embrace change to their advantage.We’re an international insurer that’s building momentum towards realising our vision of becoming the most consistent and innovative risk partner.And our people will be at the centre of our success.
