An exciting opportunity now exists for a Road Train Driver to commence work with our client in the Western Australia Kimberley region. Situated near Fitzroy Crossing, the cattle station encompasses over half a million acres in the picturesque Western Kimberley Region of the state integrating an extensive beef cattle breeding operation incorporating an all-expansive program including the use of helicopters, horses, motorbikes, heavy plant and equipment and by employing a large station crew. The Role:
The successful Road Train Driver will enjoy diversification within their role between carting cattle and heavy machinery operating on the station when required. Cattle are carted both internally for paddock carting in addition to various off-site stations and feedlots. In addition, machinery operating will be required of heavy earthmoving equipment such as graders, loaders, telehandlers and tractors.
Essential Criteria:
- To hold a current, unrestricted MC (Multi Combination) Licence and be willing to provide a copy upon request.
- To have previous experience transporting livestock safely and by adopting a high level of animal welfare consciousness.
- To be capable of operating various station earthmoving equipment and have the ability to carry out basic maintenance as required.
- To possess previous generalised cattle station experience & experience working cattle in a low stress manner.
- To maintain records and communicate effectively within the workplace.
- To hold a strong commitment to safe work practices, a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for agriculture and station life in general.
