Due to a strong pipeline of work, Fulcrum Robotics is seeking applications from candidates with remote (drone) pilot experience based in Hobart and in Launceston.
For this role, we’re seeking more than just qualified drone pilots. The successful candidates will have interest in remote systens sych as ROV's, sensing technologies, show attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, and consider safety as the number one priority. You may have surveying, engineering or trade qualifications and likely have experience in one of our client industries.
These roles inolve operating the M350 RTK, M600 Pro, T10, T40, M30T, Mavic 3E, Elios 3 and sensors such as LiDar, Thermal cameras on projects in metro, regional, and remote regions. Importantly, we will provide training on submersible ROV’s and Unmanned Ground Vehicles( UGV’s) Thermal imaging.

We operate a range of enterprise robotic systems in the industrial and environmental sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and conduct risk assessments, flight plans and reports.
- Plan UAV missions using DJI software, FlyFreely, Mission Planner, Drone Deploy.
- Operate company UAV/ROV/UGV equipment to acquire high-quality inspection and survey data.
- Capture ground-based inspection footage.
- Complete flight and inspection forms on-site, ready for upload
- Manage data acquired on-site, ready for post-processing through our data processing applications and partners.
Essential:
- CASA RePL (Sub 7kg Licence)
- Aeronautical radio operators’ licence (AROC)
- 50+ hours drone flight experience
- Experience operating DJI M3E, M300 RTK (or similar) and DJI m600 multi-rotor drones
- Experience in commercial drone operations or working in regional/remote areas
- Sound understanding of CASA drone regulations
- Highly skilled in collecting, managing, and processing big data sets
- Ability to perform job safety analysis and risk identification
- Willingness to travel to regional and remote areas
- Valid driver’s licence
- Excellent report writing, communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- CASA RePL (Sub 25kg License)
- Experience operating drones around complex infrastructure
- Surveying qualifications
- Spatial Science qualifications
- Spraying and seeding experience
- LiDar data capture and data processing
- Commercial drone experience on digital twin projects
- Background in mining, asset inspection, engineering or surveying
- Senior first-aid

- Construction induction training (White card)
