Job Vacancy
We are currently seeking seasonal Rollerspotters/Entry Level Weldersto join our Production Team at the Proserpine Mill.
This is a day work position with generous allowances paid when welding. Training will be provided for the successful candidate if required.
The main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine gas metal arc welding, metal cutting and general welding on rollers
- Use and maintain an automated welding machine as required by the team
- Assisting in the maintenance of plant, equipment and factory facilities. This may include working in confined spaces.
- Documenting processes and maintaining quality principles and standards.
- Display a consistent commitment to a high standard of housekeeping
- Perform other duties as the Operations Coordinator may reasonably request.
- Ability to work safely and be aware of the safety of others
The Successful Applicant
Required welding competencies:
- MEM05050 - Perform routine gas metal arc welding
- MEM05012 - Perform routine manual metal arc welding
- MEM11011 - Undertake manual handling
- MEM13015 - Work safely and effectively in manufacturing and engineering
- MEM16006 -Organise and communicate information
